What are eyelash extensions?

Eyelash extensions are individual Synthetic, Mink and/or Silk eyelashes. They are attached to each of your individual natural lashes – not to the skin. This service is beauty enhancing and eliminates the need to wear mascara. Each style is customized to fit your specific eye type.

Does the process hurt?

No. it generally should not hurt but there may be occasional times where fumes may seep through during application and may cause some stinging but it is very mild and tolerable. The stinging is not for the full time of the process.  It is only at random intervals when your eyes are either twitching or when you open them.

How long will my eyelash extensions last if I follow the proper care instructions?

Each and every person has a different retention rate. The average retention is about 4 - 6 weeks. We recommend you come back between 2-3 weeks or with 50% or more for nice glamour full look. If you are unhappy with your lashes then you may request for a removal. Removals generally take between 20-30 minutes.

Do lash extensions damage my natural lashes?

No. When extensions are applied correctly they will not harm your natural lashes; each lash extension adheres to one single natural lash, the extension will grow out naturally as your own lash matures. The eyelash adhesive is formulated to create a solid bond, specifically for human lashes. The adhesive dries very softly on the lashes, allowing the lashes to stay flexible and bouncy just like your own lashes.

Due to the natural growth cycle, you will need refills. It is important to have 60% of the extensions on your lashes in order to maintain the desired clean, full consistent look. Recommended fills are every 2 - 3 weeks.

How should I prepare myself for coming to my appointment?

Shower beforehand as you will not be able to get your eyelashes wet for 48 hours after application. Please come with no eye makeup or lotion on or around your eyes. It is best to keep your fluid intakes low before coming in as you will be laying for a period of 2 - 3 hours.

Will I be able to get that exact look in the picture that I showed you?

Unfortunately, every person has different types of eyes. Some are wide, some have downwards pointing lashes or some may have more or fewer lashes than you do. So because of the difference in everyone natural lashes and eye shape, we, unfortunately, will not be able to give you that EXACT look but we will try our best to achieve what you want.

What curls do you currently carry?

We currently carry B, C, D, L, and L+ curls.

Can I talk, sleep or open my eyes during my appointment?

You may talk as I love conversing with my clients and building a bond with each and every one of you but please try to keep movements to as minimal as possible. If you need to go to the washroom please don't be shy to let me know as I would want you to be as comfortable as possible!

During the application, it is best to keep your eyes closed to prevent any fumes from seeping through. When your eyes are closed it creates a seal that prevents anything from entering. But occasionally we understand that some clients naturally have their eyes open during application and or they tend to twitch which in that cause some fumes may seep through causing some redness and or stinging. The stinging will generally go away within 5 minutes or less. The redness will go away within 5 minutes up to 48 hours.

Home Care for your eyelash extensions; please review and follow these recommendations.
For the first 48 hours and long-term care of your lashes please:

•     Do not allow lashes to get wet within 48 hours of application

•     Avoid steam – so no spas, saunas, hot tubs, hot yoga, or cooking in a steamy kitchen. Steam will affect the adhesive from bonding properly

•     Do not swim, gym, or sweat excessively

After 48 hours;

•    Do not rub, perm, or tint your lashes before or after lash extension application

•    Do not pull on your lash extensions – as you’re likely to pull out your natural lash with it

•    Do not use mascara on your lashes other than the one recommended by your technician

•    Do not remove the extensions on your own

•    Do not sleep on your stomach to avoid pressure on lash extensions

•    Do not cut your extensions, you risk cutting your own lashes and altering the natural appearance of the lash extensions

•    Always brush your lashes in the morning and at night

Help! my eyelash extension fell off and I can see my natural lashes on there too!!

Yes. Your extensions will shed naturally along with your lash cycle. We shed about 2-5 lashes a day on average. So if your lash technician has done a safe job on you then your extensions will fall out naturally along with your lashes.
